Scope

1.1 This test method describes a potentiometric titration procedure for determining the inorganic sulfate content of surfactants. It is intended for the analysis of alpha; olefin sulfonates, alkane sulfonates, alcohol sulfates, alcohol ether sulfates, alkylbenzenesulfonates, and the like.

1.2 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
