Scope

This test method is applicable to the determination of phosphorus in organic materials containing at least 1.0 % phosphorus. It can be used as an assay procedure for known phosphorus organic compounds.

1.1 This test method covers the determination of phosphorus in organic compounds by sodium peroxide bomb ignition. It is applicable to samples of organic materials containing more than 1.0 % phosphorus.

1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard.

1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
