- This part specifies the reagents, instruments and equipment, sample preparation, analysis steps, result calculation and method precision for the determination of gadolinium oxide content in sintered gadolinium oxide-uranium dioxide pellets by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry. This section applies to the determination of gadolinium oxide in sintered GdO-UO pellets. The range of gadolinium oxide measured in this section is 2% to 12%.
