- This part specifies the reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, sample preparation, analysis steps, result calculation and method precision for the determination of uranium isotope abundance in sintered gadolinium oxide-uranium dioxide pellets by thermal ionization mass spectrometry. This section is applicable to the determination of uranium isotope abundance in sintered GdO-UO pellets with a maximum mass fraction of gadolinium oxide of 12%. The U molar abundance range measured in this section is 1% to 10%.
