Scope

This standard specifies methods for the analysis of carbon and oxygen isotopes in organic matter and carbonate rocks. This standard applies to petroleum, natural gas, sedimentary organic matter and carbonate rocks, and also applies to the determination of carbon and oxygen isotope compositions of other solid and liquid organic matter.
