Scope

This standard specifies the analytical methods and quality requirements for the determination of soluble organic matter and crude oil components in rocks using column chromatography and thin-layer flame ionization detection (TLC/FID). This standard is applicable to the analysis of components of soluble organic matter and crude oil (excluding light crude oil and condensate) in various rocks.
