This standard specifies the allowable values for the dissolution of lead and cadmium from ceramic products that come into contact with food. This standard applies to porcelain, stoneware, glazed and unglazed ceramic products in contact with food, but does not include food manufacturing industry, packaging and cooking ceramics.
