Scope

This standard specifies the ventilation requirements for the gasoline engine and gasoline tank compartments equipped with gasoline engines for propulsion, power generation or mechanical power in small boats with a hull length not greater than 24m to prevent the accumulation of explosive gas. This standard does not apply to personal boats.
