Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for installation, commissioning and testing of hydroelectric generating units and their auxiliary equipment. It is applicable to the installation and acceptance of hydroelectric generating units that meet one of the following conditions: a) The capacity of a single unit is 15MW and above; b) Pelton turbine, the nominal diameter of the runner is 1.5m and above; c) Francis turbine, the nominal diameter of the runner is 1.5m and above; Diameter of 2.0m and above; d) Axial-flow, diagonal-flow, and tubular turbines, the nominal diameter of the runner is 3.0m and above. Hydrogenerator units with a unit capacity less than 15MW and units whose nominal diameter of the runner is less than b), c) and d) can be implemented by reference. This standard also applies to the installation and acceptance of reversible pumped storage units.
