- This standard specifies the method for the determination of the solubility of wool in alkali. This standard applies to wool and its products. This test should use the untreated sample as a blank control test. If the sample undergoes two kinds of effects that have opposite effects on solubility, the test results may not be able to explain the problem, and other tests should be supplemented.
