GB/T 21649.1-2008
Scope
This part of GB/T 21649.1 specifies the method for determining particle size distribution by static image analysis. This section applies to the determination of the size distribution of particles capable of obtaining images from a microscope. The particle size range measured in this standard is a narrow distribution of less than 10:1. To obtain reproducible volume mean diameters, more than 6000 particles need to be measured for a distribution that fits a normal distribution with a standard deviation of 1.6. If a reliable percentage value such as D90 or other percentage values is to be obtained, at least 61,000 particles must be measured. See Appendix A for details.
