Scope
This standard specifies the analytical method for ethoxylated fatty amines in the surfactant industry. Including the following determinations: determination of pH in water-methanol medium; determination of water content; determination of sulfate ash; determination of distribution of primary amine value, secondary amine value and tertiary amine value; determination of oxyethylene content; Determination of alcohol content; examination of polyethylene glycol. This standard applies to the analysis of industrial ethoxylated fatty amines in the form of flakes, blocks, pastes or liquids, but does not contain any substances not related to manufacture. It is not suitable for ethoxylated derivatives of amidoamines and imidazolines. Analyze the general formula of product structure: (CH2CH2O)mH / R—N \ (CH2CH20)nHR——saturated or unsaturated fatty group, whose chain length is 8 to 22 carbon atoms. m+n - can take any value depending on the application of the product, but usually varies between 1 and 50.
