1.1 This standard specifies the determination method for the oil content of petroleum wax. This method is applicable to petroleum wax with a freezing point above 30°C and an oil content below 15%. This method is not suitable for some petroleum waxes with an oil content greater than 5%, which cannot be completely dissolved in methyl ethyl ketone and stratified. 1.2 This standard adopts the SI unit of the International System of Units. 1.3 This standard may address certain hazardous materials, equipment and operations, but it is not intended to provide advice on all safety issues related thereto. Therefore, prior to use, it is the user's responsibility to establish appropriate safety and protection measures and develop an applicable management system.
