This standard specifies the microcoulometric determination of trace amounts of organic sulfur in industrial aromatics. This standard is applicable to samples with organic sulfur content in industrial aromatics ranging from 0.5 mg/kg to 100 mg/kg. This standard does not apply to aromatic hydrocarbon samples with a total halogen content greater than 10 times the sulfur content, a total nitrogen content greater than 1000 times the sulfur content, and a total metal (such as nickel, vanadium, lead, etc.) content greater than 500 mg/kg. This standard is not intended to address all safety issues related to its use. Users are responsible for taking appropriate safety and health measures to ensure compliance with relevant national regulations.
