Scope: This part specifies the spectrophotometric method for the determination of aldehyde content in ethylene glycol for industrial use. This part is applicable to the determination of aldehyde content in industrial ethylene glycol, and the measurement range is 0.00001% to 0.005% (mass fraction). This part is not intended to explain all safety issues related to its use. Therefore, it is the user's responsibility to take appropriate safety and health measures and ensure compliance with the relevant national laws and regulations.
