This standard specifies the requirements for inspection and testing of control valves specified in other standards (parts) of the JIS B 2005 family of standards. This standard shall be adopted when specifying inspection and test conditions for control valves, together with any additional documentation required by 4.1 or the purchaser's code of practice. This standard does not apply to control valves used in high-risk operations such as radioactivity equipment and fire safety test equipment. If a standard for high-risk work conflicts with this standard, that standard shall take precedence. This standard applies to valves with nominal pressures up to PN 420 (class 2500). The requirements for drives apply only to pneumatic drives.
