Scope

This standard is for domestic and similar applications for connecting electrical appliances or other electrical equipment with a 50 Hz or 60 Hz power supply and a power supply with a rated voltage of 250 V or less. Specifies two-pole interconnecting couplers for AC only, with or without a grounding contact, with a rated current of 16A or less.
