Scope

This standard specifies the symbol groups (including symbols, text symbols, colors, patterns, etc.) used in geological maps, their description methods (including terminology), and the method of displaying legends on geological maps. This standard does not apply to topographic maps and thematic maps created based on geographic surveys.
