Scope
This Standard specifies those measuring systems (fuel dispensers for mo¬tor vehicles) which have a mechanism for filling fuel tanks or other containers of motor vehicles, small boats, small airplanes, etc. with fuel oilsC) (petrol, kerosene, light fuel oil or heavy fuel oil, etc.) and which are installed in fuel delivery sites(2) to be used for transaction or certification. This Standard does not apply to systems which mea¬sure fuel oils having viscosity exceeding 0.1 Pa • s and temperature under -20 °C or above 50°C. ^ Notes (') A wide range of fuel oils such as petrol, kerosene and diesel fuel. ^'^^ (2) Fuel delivery sites mean a wide range of sites including general pur- pose delivery sites as specified by the Fire Service Law and are not limited to petrol stations. Specifically, fuel dispensers such as those for selling kerosene which are installed in such places as rice retail¬ing stores are included. NOTE : The International Standard corresponding to this Standard is as follows. In addition, the symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between JIS and the relevant International Standard are IDT (identical), MOD (modified) and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21.
