Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the fracture area ratio and lateral expansion value of Charpy impact specimens of metallic materials. This standard is applicable to the determination of the fracture surface of Charpy impact specimens of metal materials. Other types of impact specimen fractures can also be used by reference.
