Scope

This part specifies the general conditions and requirements for the electrical equipment on the rolling stock main circuit, auxiliary circuit, control and indicating circuit. The purpose of this part is to standardize the common rules and requirements in electrical equipment of rolling stock as much as possible, so as to achieve the consistency of equipment requirements and tests. This avoids experimenting with different standards. This part involves all the requirements related to the expected environmental conditions, structure, performance and corresponding general tests under normal use conditions, as well as special fields such as temperature rise and dielectric properties that have received wide attention and application.
