This unification concerns the method for determining the air permeability of refractory materials. 2 The test consists in determining the volume of air, which flows in a unit of time through a test tube, of established section and height, subjected to a known pressure difference between the inlet and outlet surfaces. 3 The method is applicable to fired and formed refractory products (see UNI 4450, points 6 to 10).
