Scope

This European standard describes a volumetric method for determining the total lead content of car and aviation petrol, added with alkyl lead derivatives (tetraethyl or tetramethyl lead, trimethyl lead, dimethyldiethyl lead, methyltriethyl lead and their mixtures). It is applicable to products whose lead content is between 0.05 and 1.3 g of lead per litre.
