This standard establishes the types and characteristics of polymethylmethacrylate sheets, both as a finished product and as a semi-finished product intended for further processing. 2 The values of the requirements reported in this standard are to be understood as quality indices for the characterization and qualification of the products. These values do not, in principle, lend themselves to being used for design calculations. 3 The requirements included in this standard are those deemed necessary for the characterization and qualification of the products. In some cases, additional requirements may be necessary to identify particular characteristics to be agreed between the client and supplier. For guidance, some requirements that may be the subject of such agreements are reported in Appendix A and B.
