UNI 7692-1977 Elastomeric materials: tests on vulcanized materials, determination of polychloroprene and halogenated butyl or total chlorine in mixtures
The analytical procedures described apply to the dosage of polychloroprene in all mixtures that do not contain other chlorinated or brominated compounds in addition to polychloroprene. In the event that said ingredients are present in the mixture, the methods can still be used for the dosage of polychloroprene only when it is possible to completely extract the interfering substances with methanol; in this case the dosage will be performed on the mixture after extraction with methanol. With the same limitations the procedures apply to the dosage of chlorobutyl and bromobutyl. Finally, the procedures are applied to the dosage of chlorine or bromine contained in the vulcanized mixtures as long as they are not present at the same time.
