This standard illustrates the sampling plans and the testing procedure to be used to verify the correspondence to the technical conditions prescribed for those characteristics of the products for which said verification is carried out with the variable method, i.e. based on the estimate of the average taken from a sample . Unlike the UNI 7371-74 standard, the sample does not have a pre-established number, but is collected in a sequential manner, that is, after each determination of the characteristic on an element it is possible to reach one of the following decisions:
——accept the lot;
——reject the lot;
——request another test to be carried out.
