It concerns the alternate bending test of steel wires having a diameter or characteristic dimension equal to or greater than 0.5 mm, and generally not greater than 10 mm. Unless otherwise specified, the test must be carried out at room temperature. The test consists in bending a test tube fixed at one end several times at 90 degrees and in alternately opposite directions, in one plane; each bending is carried out on a roller having a cylindrical surface of specified radius.
