This standard considers a range of steel roller chains which derives, as regards dimensions, from the type of malleable cast iron chains21. The chains of this standard respond to operating and maintenance conditions where particular requirements of precision and silence are not required (for example the agricultural sector) and where generic light-type conveyors are used.
