This standard describes the procedures for determining the relative dielectric constant and the dissipation factor of plastic materials, in a measurement frequency range between 50 Hz and 1 MHz. 2 The procedures are applicable to both thermoplastic and thermosetting products; they can be used both on test tubes prepared specifically and directly from the materials, and on test tubes obtained from semi-finished or finished products1).
