Scope

1.1 This Tanzania Standard prescribes methods for determination of arsenic. 1.1.1 Modified Gutzeit method of test for arsenic shall be employed in cases where arsenic content is not needed and only a knowledge of limit is desired. In cases where the actual arsenic content is to be deter-mined, silver diethyldithiocarbamate method shall be followed. The method is applicable to quantities of arsenic (As) greater than 1 ug.
