Scope

This Standard describes a method for the determination of the residual styrene monomer in polystyrene by gas chromatography; it may be used also for the simultaneous determination of other volatile aromatic hydrocarbons in polystyrene. It is applicable both to styrene homopolymers and to butadiene modified polystyrene.
