SIS SS-ISO 3740:1986 Acoustics - Determination of sound power levels of noise sources - Guidelines for the use of basic standards and for the preparation of noise test codes
This International Standard provides guidelines comprising :
a) brief explanations of the principles underlying the set of basic International Standards for measuring the noise emit-ted by machines and equipment;
b) assistance in the selection of the appropriate basic International Standard;
c) general information on supplementing the basic International Standards with instructions concerning the installation and operating conditions for the particular type of machines or equipment; such instructions are usually incor-porated in test codes.
