Scope

This part of ISO 4522 specifies a test method for assessing the freedom from contamination by residual salts of silver and silver alloy coatings for engineering, decorative and protective purposes. It is applicable to parts made entirely of metal and ex-cludes composite parts, for example those containing both plastics and coated metal.
