Scope

This publication describes a test for the oxidation stability of unused inhibited mineral insulating oils by measure-ment of the induction period. This method may also be used to obtain information on the acid- and sludge-forming tendency before or after the induction period. The method is only intended for testing the continuity of oil supplies. The results do not necessarily provide information of the performance in .service.
