Scope
1.1 This standard prescribes the requirements and the Methods of Test for Maize, Rice, Wheat and Potato Starches obtained by wet grinding process. 1.2 Definition: Starch consists of polysaccharide gra nules obtained from the grains of Mazie (Zea mays L), of Rice (Oryza sativa L), of wheat (Triticum sativum L or Triticum Vulgare L) or from the tubers of potato) (Solanum tuberosum L).
