ONORM DIN 10182-2-1993 Microbiological analysis of milk- Detection of inhibitory substances in milk - Routine method (reduction test with brilliant-black)
This standard specifies a routine procedure for the detection of inhibitors in raw milk (including chemically preserved) and pasteurized drinking milk using the brilliant black reduction test (BRT). The test germ used has a particular sensitivity to penicillins, with the detection limit corresponding to a sodium or potassium benzyl penicillin concentration of 0.005 ug/ml (=0.008 IU/ml) 1). Note: Penicillin in the sense of this standard includes all ?-lactam ring antibiotics.
