Scope

1.1 This Standard applies to thermostatically controlled dairy-type thermal storage electric water heaters from which water is drawn off through a tap fitted directly into the vessel at a low level (but above the element and thermostat). Hence these heaters can operate without a header tank and may be emptied down to tap level.
