Scope

This Standard specifies a method for the photometric determination of silicon in aluminum and aluminum alloys. The method is applicable to products with a silicon content between 0.02 and 0.4%. The method does not apply to the special cases of aluminum alloys containing tin or bis uth. In this Standard, these special cases are not covered.
