This European standard specifies the dimensions, dimensional tolerances, mechanical, physical and chemical characteris ics, surface appearance and marking of ceramic tiles and slabs. It is only applicable to first choice dry pressed ceramic tiles and slabs, including book tiles, with water absorption 3% < E:? 6% according to group Blla of standard EN 87; These tiles and slabs are used indoors and outdoors for floor and wall coverings (see chapter 7).
