This Standard is intended to specify the characteris ics of containers^1' with non-reusable stoppers, for blood samples, with a nominal capacity between 0.5 and 25 ml inclusive, intended to be used mainly for hematology tests, of biochemis ry and serology. It also specifies an alphabetical code system that makes it possible to identify any additive introduced into containers and a labeling system for them. Blood collection devices by which the sample is collected directly into the container are not included in the scope of this Standard.
