This standard specifies the requirements that tungsten filament lamps (incandescent bulbs) for general lighting must meet and the testing methods for the mechanical, physical, electrical, photometric and durability characteris ics of batches or a manufacturer's production. These bulbs will have the following characteris ics: a. A nominal power between 15 and 1,500 watts. b. A nominal duration of 1,000 hours (except for 200 watt bulbs, which have a nominal duration of 750 hours). c. A nominal voltage between 100 and 250 volts. d. A clear or frosted blis er. and. A normal socket with E26/24 (medium), E27/27, E39/4l (mogul) and EUo/1^5 threads.
