This standard indicates the methods that can be used to determine the strength of seams in ready-made and other textile articles. The tests must be carried out on the different seams found in ready-made articles and other textile articles. It is recommended to do so, because some seams are parallel to the length or width of the fabric and others may have a transverse position. Some items use different types of seam construction for different seams.
