The method set forth in this standard is essentially intended for the determination of the mois ure content of raw natural rubber, but is also applicable for the determination of any other matter that is volatile at 100° C and that the rubber may contain. This method requires the use of the results of measurements made during the preparation of the test sample, as indicated in section 5 of the NORVEN 46-3 standard regarding Sampling of raw natural rubber.
