This standard applies to cables with core insulation and sheathing, if present, based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC), with a nominal voltage up to 450/750 V, intended for use in high-current installations with a nominal alternating voltage up to 450/750 V. Note For Some types of flexible pipes use the name "cord". Section 1 provides the general provis ons applicable to these pipes. The testing methods are included in section 2 of this standard, in NEN 10 540 and in NEN 10 332-1. The pipe types to which the standard applies are included in sections 3, 4 and 5. The type designation of these pipes shall be in accordance with 1.3.6.
