The standard applies to research into the water balance and/or the mois ure status of the unsaturated zone of the soil. The described method is also used in the calibration of other measuring methods in which the water content is determined indirectly (e.g. the methods with the neutron depth probe and the gamma depth probe according to NEN 5782 and NEN 5784).
