This standard describes a method to test enamel for resis ance to acid and to determine the result in the form of a class classification. The standard applies to enamels that come into contact with weakly acidic solutions at room temperature. For enamels that come into contact with stronger acid solutions and/or acid solutions at a higher temperature, reference is made to NEN 2706 for the determination of acid resis ance. This standard cannot be applied to matte enamels.
