This standard describes a method for the titrimetric determination of the content of at least 0.001% (mlm) of phosphorus and is applicable to the chemical examination of iron, non-alloyed and alloyed steel. The method is not applicable to steel in which niobium, tantalum, tungsten and/or zirconium are present as alloying elements.
