The standard applies to rainwater with a nitrate content of 1 to 200 ^mol/l of N03 (= 0.62 to 124 µg/l). Aromatic hydrocarbons with levels higher than 10 mg/l are dis urbing. Nitrite can be removed with amidosulfuric acid. The method is suitable for small amounts of analysis sample.
