This part of this standard contains general guidance on the classification, dimensions and inspection requirements of plywood, with the aim of assessing its suitability for different applications. The scope of the standard is limited to plywood manufactured with adhesives based on thermosetting synthetic resins or based on animal or vegetable proteinaceous raw materials. If requirements deviating from the standard must be met for the use of plywood with regard to type, quality and dimensions, this must be recorded in writing when ordering.
