Chapter 1 of NEN 6101 applies with the exception of the following: 1.1 Replacement: This standard applies to coffee grinders (with blade head or grinding head) whose stock can contain a maximum of 500 g of coffee beans, which are exclusively intended for household use. Notes 1. Coffee grinding appliances intended for use in combination with food processors for various purposes are covered by this standard. Pending a standard for coffee grinders for commercial use, this standard can serve as a guideline for requirements and testing of such equipment. 2. This standard does not take into account the special hazard exis ing in childcare centers or other premis s where small children or the elderly or dis bled are left unattended; in such cases additional requirements may be necessary. 3. Additional requirements may be required for devices intended for use in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft. 4. Additional requirements may be required for devices intended for use in tropical countries. 5. Attention is drawn to the fact that in many countries additional requirements are imposed by national health organizations.
